WINDERMERE KIDS
Swansea · Bloor West Village · High Park

Our second centre, steps from Bloor West Village.

Just south of Bloor St. West, Windermere Kids has five classrooms (1 Infant, 1 Toddler, 3 Preschool) and a beautiful, private and all-natural playground.

Closer to The Junction? Families a little north often consider our Green Apple Kids centre too.

— A SHARED APPROACH

Two centres, one standard of care.

Green Apple Kids and Windermere Kids are run by the same independent, privately owned company. Both centres follow the same approach: welcoming environments, inquiry-led and play-based learning, dedicated educators, nutritious food, and a commitment to providing exceptional childcare.

What changes between them is the building and the neighbourhood around it. What doesn’t change is how your child is cared for. We have two centres maintaining the same standard of excellence. Two centres we’re equally proud of.

Rooms are specifically arranged to inspire curiosity and play. Shelves sit at a child’s height, so children choose their own materials instead of asking an adult for them. Art supplies, books, blocks and toys stay out and accessible. Materials are age-appropriate and open-ended – things that can be used more than one way and invite imagination. Walls are kept calm – neutral tones with an accent wall or two – so the rooms feel warm not loud. Colour comes from the children’s own artwork, displayed where they can see it, take pride in it, and know this space is theirs.

“Windermere kids has been fantastic for both of my girls. Both of them have had great teachers who visibly care for them and their development, which really eased our household anxiety about the transition into childcare…Would highly recommend!”

— PART OF THE COMMUNITY

A neighbourhood centre, in the truest sense.

Most of the children at Windermere come from right around here – Swansea, High Park and Bloor West Village families, many within a short walk. They grow up alongside neighbours they’ll later meet again at the park and in kindergarten. We like it that way. A centre works best when it belongs to its community, not just sits in it.

This is one of Toronto’s greenest corners, and our outdoor space is meant to reflect it. Windermere’s playground is private, enclosed, and natural. With tree canopy and garden beds our children actively maintain, it’s a space our children love to play in and explore every day in every season.
