PROGRAMS — INFANT · TODDLER · PRESCHOOL

One childhood, three stages, the same trusted centre.

Children can join us as infants and stay through preschool. Same centre, same community, and supportive educators who watched them take their first steps. More genuine care, more room to grow.

— Continuity of care

Three strong programs, built as one so your child never has to start over.

Continuity is the quiet engine of early childhood. A young child grows strongest when the ground beneath them holds steady – the same trusted adults, the same familiar rooms, the same friends, with consistent routines and steady expectations. It’s what lets them feel secure enough to take risks, try, stumble, and try again.

Some families have to rebuild that ground more than once: a centre that doesn’t run every age group, a space that never opens, a move across the city. Every switch resets the clock on trust – new faces to learn, new routines to decode, new friendships to start from scratch. Children feel each reset, even when they can’t name it.

At Green Apple Kids & Windermere Kids, they don’t have to. Infant through preschool lives under one roof, so the rooms change but the world doesn’t. The educator who settled your baby to sleep is down the hall when they’re four and still knows exactly how they like to be greeted each morning. And the child who shared their first snack table may well be beside them on the walk into kindergarten. That kind of belonging can’t be bought or rushed. It’s simply built, day by day, year after year.

Small hands, held often.

Set meal, outdoor and nap times anchor each day helping young children settle faster knowing what comes next. Between those anchors, we take our cues from your baby: floor time, a cuddle the moment it’s needed, and faces that become familiar fast. Our sensory-rich environments help support brain development and exploration. And our consistent caregivers help build secure attachments that foster confidence.

For parents, we know drop-offs can be hard. Through the Lillio app you’ll see meals and bottles, naps, and small victories as they happen. And you can always call us for a check-in. The communication runs both ways: what you tell us shapes your baby’s day, and what we share shapes their evening. That’s the partnership, home and here, keeping one consistent rhythm together.

“Green Apple Kids made my return to work so much easier as I have peace of mind that my daughter is in a very loving environment. I have been extremely impressed with the quality of the program, the organization and cleanliness of the environment, and the overall culture of the school. The teachers really care about the kids and their development. They are as thrilled as we are as parents when they hit key milestones and have developed a strong connection with the kids that goes far beyond what is required.”

Toddler Program

1.5-2.5 years · Ratio 1:5 · Full & Part Time · Both locations

Built for the busiest age there is.

The Green Apple Kids potted plants and garden bed fill the background with a mix of shade and sunlight illuminating the scene.

Every parent knows toddlers are busy and curious. The Green Apple Kids Toddler Program lets children explore their world with gentle guidance from educators who know when to step in and when to stand back. Colours, numbers, and shapes are introduced through play and conversation. Language development happens through stories, songs, and responsive interactions.

Our natural playgrounds give toddlers a safe place to find out what their growing bodies can do. Here, children are encouraged to dig in, try new things, and not be afraid to fail. The research is clear: this kind of indoor and outdoor exploration is how young children come to understand the world around them.

This is also the age of “I can do it myself.” We don’t just let them, we encourage them. Pulling on boots, pouring water, helping tidy up – small jobs that build confidence and independence.

Preschool Program

2.5-5 years · Ratio 1:8 · full & Part Time · Both locations

Ready for kindergarten, without rushing toward it.

An indoor candid photo of 4 preschoolers sitting at a table with a female ECE teacher. They are focused on cutting and grinding freshly picked parsley from Green Apple Kids' garden beds. Walls are a neutral beige, the table top is blue and chairs are a vibrant green.

The Green Apple Kids preschool program is built with kindergarten in mind. Preschoolers work daily with letters, numbers, colours, and early time concepts. They’re encouraged to express themselves in words, paint, music, and play, as they begin to establish who they are and what they can do. For letter recognition and pre-writing skills, we partner with Learning Without Tears, whose age-appropriate program teaches through group games, sing-alongs, and activities.

Social-emotional learning runs through every day too: planting the garden, raising worms, taking turns, working things out. Small interactions, practiced daily, support their friendship development and emotional regulation, and what grow lifelong learners and caring citizens.

By the time our preschoolers leave for school, they can speak up in a group, manage their belongings, work through a disagreement, and sit with a task that takes effort. Teachers notice.

“I don’t think you could find a better daycare. Both my kids went from infant until kindergarten and it’s been amazing. The facility is bright and clean, the playgrounds green. The staff is lovely and has been for the 10 years we’ve had a child there. They do tons of art and lots of extra programming, yoga, dancing, music. The kids plant things and learn about nature and the environment. The food is exceptional. It creates good healthy eating habits at such a crucial time in development. Green Apple has helped us raise our children and they are kind, confident and academically strong. I will forever be grateful for GAK.”
